World Youth Festival Assembly 2025
World Youth Festival Assembly 2025 Opens in Nizhny Novgorod,
Russia, 17–21 September 2025, Day 1, 18/09/25.
Nizhny Novgorod, Russia — The World Youth Festival Assembly 2025 officially commenced its programme today, 18 September 2025, bringing together 2,000 young leaders from 120 nations, including a strong delegation from across the African continent.
Representing Mauritius at this global gathering are Ms Justelle Marie Genave and Mrs Nitusha Padmini Gookool, delegates of the MNPC-WYF, an initiative established by UNA-Mauritius/COSYM-Mauritius in 2023. Ms Genave is participating in the Media workshop, while Mrs Gookool is engaged in the Education workshop.
One of the highlights of the Assembly is a three-day media-intensive programme conducted by the New Media Workshop. Fifty international participants will undergo training in content creation, neutral networks, and strategies to counter misinformation. The course is aimed at establishing a new international content centre dedicated to producing youth-focused media about Russia.
The Assembly’s week-long programme includes educational and cultural activities, such as master classes with Olympic champions, project presentations, thematic discussions on education, culture, and sport, e-sports competitions, and the creation of the world’s largest collaborative art canvas.
The World Youth Festival Assembly continues to provide an exceptional platform for intercultural exchange, innovation, and global cooperation among the next generation of leaders.
